Good People,

Is it me or has there just been an influx of Raffles that will make you a millionaire pap! I am getting jittery as there are around four or five running now! Given that the General elections are just around the corner... I am reminded of the Ponzi schemes... Iko watu watalia and the usual ' tunaomba serikali itusaidie tumepoteza pension.....Shame on you

I'm I being paranoid?.. or iko kitu hapo?d'oh!

There was a lady from the lakeside (Homabay) who won % million last week. I should have been happy for her but instead I just felt a bit sad for her because I know just how badly that money will complicate her life. She collected the cheque with no less than 4 brother -in-laws in tow!!!!! Can you imagine the expectations on this poor woman from her family, friends, church, community

Then she said that she would use part of the money to expand her sugarcane business at which point I almost weeped for her. She sells sugarcane to fishermen by the lakeside.

I really would love to track this woman down after five years to see the effects the money has had on her life.

Nkt! These things are BK, I know someone who has spent 5k on them. I've told him that money could be put to better use but he doesn't listen.

Edit: Do any of you know someone who has won any of these? A colleague of mine won 250k with Wingo but I assume KCS is legit.

That's a sign that they are making big money on it. Kenyans and their gullibility. Any promise to make quick cash, and Pap! there they are in hoards.

apparently, this a very lucrative business,

You remember the other competition worth 90 million to be won and a Range Rover,

The company made 1.3 Billion from that competition only,

An sms was being charged at 65 bob.

Secondly, if you read the terms and conditions well, you will see that there is a clause that says that the firm is not obliged to keep its word if the revenue doesnt reach the target.

Me thinks the tricks is not to try or if you have to try be among the first people to send the sms.

Guys, is there not supposed to ba a regulatory body for Betting in ths country? How can they agree to such a clause. Evidently, the company can never lose...

What stops 'Wazua' from setting up one, fleece Kenyans then declare that you did not meet your targets ( whatever you had set ) and then start another game... By 2013 January, when they will be setting up a commission of bla bla bla made up of elction losers of 2012, I will be in Garissa county!!!

Anyone game? d'oh!

This is the current SMS cash cow. I think user fatigue might eventually set in

I have a strong suspicion that these are 2012 financing plans.

That's the word around tech circles, but remains to be verified
