Isn't this great news? Maybe these sportsmen and women will be the ones who win the fight against tribalism.

This is the best story I've read in our dailies in a long time.

BBI will solve it

This is temporary occasioned by the ban on City stadium which is their traditional home ground....Nyayo was banned too and it happens to be AFC's home ground....They have shifted temporarily to Mumias Sports Complex.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

I know. The point is they could have chosen to go anywhere and they picked Thika.

2012.....Thika is not far from Nairobi you know, i'm sure they considered a venue where their fans can easily access. I think you're the one who's taking this tribal thing a bit far.

the decision was arrived at after considering the remaining 3 last matches of the season and ensuring that the least disturbance was done to the schedule. it had nothing to do with distance because AFC would have ended up in naivasha or nakuru and not in kakamega county.

Sober....There's the small issue of revenue from tickets especially from Gor supporters and match broadcast by Supersport (production costs). AFC is neither here nor there in the league. I'm sure this weekend both matches to be broadcasted will be from Thika.

How much in terms of ticket sales can you really get from Naivasha or Hope Centre compared to Thika?

I agree with you @TAZ. Gor moves their remaining matches to Thika stadium [The only logical place I might add] and someone straight away sees tribes!!! Eeish. How tribal have 'we' become?
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
