Problem with moneybookers.com credit/debit card verification

Hi all good people.I came across a company called moneybookers.com .Here : http://www.moneybookers.com and decided to join.
Then i learnt that to use your debit/atm card for online payments you have to verify it.They debited my debit card with a random amount and now to verify this card i must tell them the random amount that they debited my account with.
Now i am stuck.How do i know this amount because my bank statement shows the amount in my local currency (Kes).Anybody who uses moneybookers to help.?

Hi qw25,

Normally it doesn't appear in ur statements immediately you may have to wait a few days up to a week. Then go to your ATM and grab a mini statement.

It's easy to know the amount Moneybookers debited ur account since its a value btwn EUR 1.01 and 2.99 (Convert to Kshs. Ofcoz)

Normally when you check your debit card statement they always show the source debiting ur a/c in this case MONEYBOOKERS and the amount.

I did verify mine more than a year ago can't remember the name that was on the statement but i think it's MONEYBOOKERS or something close.

Trust me u can't miss it!smile

thanx for the reply but that's where the problem is. I donot know the amount in foreign currency that was deducted from the creditcard because if i even dare to convert the deducted money showing on the statement in Ksh to Euro I'd be dead wrong coz of currency flactuations.
Let me check my mini statement and see if its there.

KCB statements normally show dollar amounts alongside Ksh.

@qw . . .Just look for an entry on your statement from Moneybookers then talk nicely to one of those lovely customer service ladies explaining to them the need for conversion rate on that transaction.They can then drill down the entry on the system to get the rate on that particular entry in 5seconds or less.Just explain.
Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.

Once the debit comes through; just call your bank and ask them what it was for.... you don't have to be nice to the but it is good to be nice....

You don't need to explain to them why you want to know; just ask the bank to tell you why they deducted money from your account.... they will tell you that it was a debit by xyz for EURxxx...... simple
