Intelli@,
Noise is a form of energy.In this case a product of burning fuel.

@Mburuke,
Am not an aviator but i guess this has to do with wind,it's direction and speed.Take the simple example of a ferry or swimming across a river.Can you approach the opposite landing on a direct line without factoring in the direction and speed of the current?.

On a different note why is it that when a plane is about to land they have to sort of take a curve or loop on one side and then approach the runway? why cant they just approach the runaway in a direct or straight manner.

Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

That type of landing is not acceptable.
You have to go round the airport in a curved loop severally as you prepare the machine for a wonderful landing;Direct and straight line approach is the final finishing style, and it should be memorable!

Planes approaching a country, region, have flight paths so there is no confusion, bumpers hitting, kupigiana mahorni, overlapping, pilots showing each other fingers etc in the sky, when they get close to the airport, they then have to align themselves to the runway, hence the turns.

@njunge and Muchknow While thats seems a logical explanation does it mean that its possible to have a plane directly approaching the runway depending on the prevailing conditions? and it seems the same also applies during takeoff!
Has any Wazuan been in a situation where the [lane took off or landed without loop dance!
@impunity i think nostoppingthis has addressed ur query!

If fluoride in water causes brown teeth, why does it happen that some people using the same water will not get their teeth discoloured?

Tell me more about those hanging chains, how does the trailer acquire charges. The other day i step out of my car and while closing the door i was slighly electrocuted. I didn't know what it was until now. Should i hang a chain in my car too.
