125% increase in 10 months
Kakuzi Must ve doing very well .
VVS you are a genious
pliz note the bulk of "125%" happened within a span of 5 weeks between 4th Feb and March 10th..actually 100%..from 34 to 78 also note it was within that period that full year results of Kakuzi were anticipated to be released for year ending Dec 2009.. subsequently the results confirmed the stock had been previously very much under valued.. since that time the stock has oscillated between 78-90 range.. and is likely to remain at this range until same time cycle next year..i.e. Feb-March 2011.. same arguments goes for most stocks.. 6 week window around corporate announcements the prices either rocket or slump... case in point..Stanchart, DTK, NIC, Coop blah blah blah.. ..Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven...Matt5:16 - 1769 Oxford King James Bible 'Authorized Version

The dollar collapses, oil spikes and KK laughs all the way to the bank.... Though this scenario would be terrible for Kakuzi.... Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

atwoli is conning the Tea Pickers http://www.nation.co.ke/.../-/6c64mdz/-/index.html
The fact is that Firms need to be more efficient to counter competition. Kenya's tea faces threats from other producers & the plantations need to be more efficient. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Since then I have bought into Kakuzi, Williamson, Kapchorua... YOU got it! the issue here is LAND VALUE, more so, those plantations within nrb/large metros, the land is more valuable than the crop ... Where is hon Orengo when we need him ... land speculation getting out of control. This is he best n cheapest way to own land IMO BTW VVS, did you know Kapchorua is wholly owned by Williamson ... Question? what change if any with these plantations in regards to Counties?

Question? what change if any with these plantations in regards to Counties? 1) Let those who want to speculate do so... As long as it is not illegal! What's your problem here? This is not illegally grabbed land. 2) Kapchorua is not 100% owned by Williamson. Where do you get your info? 3) None of the plantations (listed firms) are within Nairobi. The closest would be Eagaads but that is in Kiambu/Ruiru. 4) I did not buy into these for land. That is a side benefit. I bought into them for the Tea. Greedy when others are fearful. @VVS I agree with @pkmm I am of the opinion that Kapchorua is 100% owned by williamson so there is no point of owning the both of them Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

This is not subjective but objective... If you can provide proof that Williamson owns 100% of Kapchorua... I will eat my hat! Greedy when others are fearful. Anyone care to argue with that? WTK owns 36% of Kapchorua directly. Perhaps more indirectly. So yes, WTK controls Kapchorua but that wasn't the original statement/assertion... I own Kapchorua shares so I knew it was not 100%... Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett
