TAZ,
The club now know that the guy could leave any time, by making sign a new contract, united has ensured that they will get good money when he finally leaves, the way things stood before, the boy had almost all the aces, now these belong to the club!!!!

The press especially in Britain is full of the Wayne Rooney story. Are they talking about the prostitute scandal? Nope!!! They are talking about the possible exit from Man U. What if this whole story is orchestrated to kill the prostitute story? SAF has been known to play mind games with fellow managers to achieve an upper hand. Is it beyond him to organize what is going on to give one of his star players a break from the the prostitute story?

This is a big if/maybe but it is possible. Then again, I might just be over thinking.

Could @MaichBlack have been right?

@ Mwenza, whats your say in this?

After the dust has settled down, I will never respect the lad again.

When your respected spouse thoroughly betrays you and then you forgive them............the relationship is never the same again.

Previously SAF would not easily substitute this guy even when he is not playing well. Now things will be totally different. Watch him coming off the bench a few more times this season and he wont complain.

He had better rediscover his form fast otherwise bench atauma vilivyo.

I think everyone was talking to Rooney in a way he didn't understand. Finally he got some valuable advice that got him to put pen to paper. Link below.

Friendly Advice That Got Rooney To Sign

Rooney must have said: "When you put it that way, I totally see the point. You should have said it long time ago. We would have skipped all this drama and gone straight to signing!"
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
