I think the exciting Q3 results will come from:

DTB, CFC, HF, Equity - KCB should record modest results

I have a very strong INKLING that KCB will post more than 30% growth in Q3...

PBT has come in at 23% higher than last year. I have yet to see the PAT figures but it looks like your inkling was a little off.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly yeah i Know i know we can't be always right...

But at least MOO says they are on track to meet their target of 9billion PBT...

If you noticed their Q3 PBT of 6.5billion is more than 2009 FY PBT of 6.3billion

This is really good results for KCB. They could be heading towards 30% FY. The stock should react tomorrow.

guru, a full year PBT of 9 billion would be above 40 percent growth. That would be EXCELLENT. But C.E.O's lie every other day

Actually not to worry g267. I predicted a 25.7% growth in PAT in Q3 2010 against Q3 2009 while you went for 30%+. It looks like you were a little nearer the mark, if we limit your projection to 30%, since PAT growth has come in at 28.38%.

At a basic EPS of 2.03 (ignore the 2.52 figure for Diluted EPS which is an ERROR - should be 1.52), this share is still trading at a discount.

I will now sell the Co-op shares (bought at 18.10) that I bought using proceeds from KCB (sold at 23) and see whether I can milk a little more from the Lion, if I can get in at current prices.

I'm looking at Fidelity Bank's numbers in the Nation today and the figures are out of this world!! PAT in 09 Q3 was 29M, 10 Q3 is 309M. Mazee if my pet bank NIC does anything close to this (and it should as a mid cap bank) My 72% gains so far will go through the roof!!

EB will report a higher year on year increase in percentage terms but not in actual Ksh PAT than KCB. This is dangerously obvious!

COOP 255,000 ABP 15.85; IMH 5,000 ABP 35.55; KQ 604,200 ABP 6.96; MTN 23,800 ABP 5.20

@obiero this is where you are very very wrong... EB's results will be better than KCB's both in figures and percentage growth..

The only problem is that EB is trading on a P/E of more than 20 so to me its way over priced and people are still underestimating KCB's potential growth from S&l

C.E.Os lie but if your under as much heat as M.O.O is under right now I don't see how he would make unattainable projections plus he its not like he has any shares to be hyping up like the co-op guy...
