My friend eats a lot of water melons. Its becoming expensive to buy them so I want to plant a few plants in my backyard for this purpose, for my friend to eat. I also like them.

where do you suppose I can get good quality seeds for good quality water melons? How much money do the seeds cost? Please help. Pray

watermelons don't just grow anywhere unlike sukuma wiki.Before you buy the seeds,consider that!

@Wendz,
In Nairobi....??...Wewe uliona "marenge".WM don't do well in cold and wet areas and neither do they do well on red soil....sandy cotton soil is most ideal.

You can get quality seed from seed stockist e.g simlaw-kijabe street. they stock the following
Watermelon sugarbaby 10gm -60bob
Watermelon chanston gray 10gm - 60bob.

you can get 10gms to test the best variety that will suit your area.

the watermelons do well in hot areas.
