I used to enjoy reading his theories on fractal geometry.
Then his book "The (mis)behavior of Markets" cured me off market speculation for good.
Benoit B Mandlebrot - described by some as 'the man who moved orthogonally"

Now he is gone to that great fractal set in the sky.

He is not dead. He has just entered into the next dimension of the Mandelbrot set of life.
