This is a good one - well respected and established in Central Kenya. Who's selling these shares and how can Kenyans buy?

The management was a solid one a couple of years ago. I worked with them on a solar home systems project for its members in Kangare area. If all factors remain constant i would go for it too.

PROSPECTUS. Its not possible for someone to sink 100k into a company before knowing the share structure, ownership, operations and many other facts about the firm. what is known over the counter is never enough, an investor needs that insight to help in making a decision.

I now have more details. The bank has adopted the model of equity bank. It is selling its shares to its members only. To buy the shares u either are an account holder or open an account with them. The tentative listing at the NSE is 2011 or 2012. In the year 2008 dividend was paid at 8% and in 2009 at 9%.

I saw they have opened a new branch at Temple Road right opposite where the Kisii bound buses used to collect passengers and adjacent to Mumbi House.

It dots most of the towns on the former Murang'a District not sure which county it is.One test for a good ran Central Kenya entity that is public based is demos and management infighting that has not happened to this sacco.

In today's DN paper, the sacco indicated it was offering shares for sale at 10 bob each, n a chance to win....cant remember what it was......on participation. Anyone with any additional info? The sacco has grown fm a capital base of 100k 15 years ago to one Billion today. Check out their website....www.muramati.org......Just sharing with fellow wazuans on a possibly wonderful investment opportunity, while seeking more info on the same. Kindly share your views.

Their website is http://www.muramatisacco.co.ke
I am putting in 100K into it. I think this will be the next Equity bank or Family bank. I salute these Muranga county geniuses..PERIOD

The promo runs till dec 31. There cars, motorbikes cash, meko gas cookers tn be won. Got some info from one of their branches. They intend to list on the NSE in near future (didn't say how soon), the current shareholders have been receiving dividend of about 9%. They anticipate this trend to continue. Attempts to get a copy of any sort of financial details/reports etc bore no fruits. Wanted to see someone 'higher up' for more info but place was kinda packed. Maybe another day.
