Do wazuans who receive dividends through EFT have the same problem I do? The description on the bank statement makes absolutely no sense and I am unable to determine which company has paid. As it is, an EFT has come through dated on 13 Oct and I can't for the life of me figure out who has paid. The description says "BY INST 337149" Would it be too much for the description to include the company code?

@GG,
Same problem here..a dividend I received in June by EFT shows in my statement as:
EFT Credit 315672 IBT ACCO/1 I got to know where it came from when I received the divident warrant some 2 months later!

Dudes, don't you anticipate your dividends? I know which counter it is that has paid by the amount. Try keeping a 'dividend diary'

They all appear like that. You need to know the calendar and amount expected then you'll know who hasn't paid up because the problem arises when the payment is late. There's one annoying counter that holds dividend 1 or 2 months after the due date. Ever happened to you? I used to think it was the registrar but now I know.

BBI will solve it

@2012, not easy to track when you are in and out of a stock, and the main thing you keep your eye on is the capital gains, and don't really follow whether you are selling/buying ex or cum.

For me I rely on the divinded warrant which comes through the post (for some companies you get the warrant before the EFT!!!!).

For some I can just rely on my memory.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

Cdsc notifies by sms when a company declares a dividend. I save the smses and reconcile against my statement.

@sparkly, CDSC sms gives the dividend declared, NOT what you as an individual investor will get. The amount you will get is only known when books close, not when announcement is made. BTW I found out my dividend - it was Jubilee and I had been computing without the bonus (which qualified for dividends) issued last year hence couldn't reconcile.

Attn. Wazua!

This thread offers a problem to which you can develop a solution thus adding value to this site.

I am talking about a dividend calendar,div calculator, tracking and announcements. I challenge you to come up with a "my dividends watch" function akin to the "mystocks watch".

Yes you can!
