I agree,if the girl says no,just move on. but if she says let me think about it or wait kidogo,i think that is acceptable.

Bid your time, become very marriagable but don't pop the question. Some friends tell me, that way, you tend to get subtle warnings with a deadline attached.... you also get to be dragged to numerous weddings.
