I have watched the clip and I'm beginning to think people are selectively analyzing what Jeff said. I have picked a couple of things that absolutely no one has mentioned in their post. Jeff said:

1) I don't condone what Mungiki did.

2) ...two wrongs don't make a right.

3) ...the finger should be pointed across the board

etc.

I think Jeff was very brave to ask questions most of us [including wazuans] are afraid to ask in public. It's good to point out when someone goes out of line but we should state all the facts. For example, one should never kill an innocent Kenyan to avenge or prevent the death of another innocent Kenyan. But I guess that is what Jeff was alluding to by point no 2 above.

Having said that, I still stand by all my earlier posts including the fact that Jeff is saying what he is saying at the behest of UK.

Maichblack, I am strugglig to see your points in 1, 2 & 3. Most threads here in Wazua normally begin with 'I am not a tribalist but bla bla bla...and still betray the preamble statement.

In my opinion,JK was trying to cover up his lopsided arguments ! Correct me Maich if am not getting it.

Some characters here will definetly make TJRC work painfully harder than it's already if at all they do appear before it.

Winston....just ignore this Murenj fellow, just a desperate attention seeker.

We all know how the violence started, who was responsible, the objective of the violence and what led to the retaliation in Naivasha. Jeff's story was directed to the ICC who allegedly released a report which only seemed to focus on Mungiki's role in the PEV....For almost a whole month Kenyans from different communities were killed in North Rift by individuals who they called their neighbours and friends. Thank you Jeff for reminding us what really happened not just in Naivasha but across the country.

Most of you were quiet when your "brothers" were busy killing innocent people in Eldoret....it took Naivasha to bring you closer to reality.Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

ODM stood strong, called for more and more violence in every corner of the country as kyuks were being butchered....UNTIL when kyuk youth blocked nakuru road, and innocent lives of the other communities was lost...Until then life was normal for RAO and team.... Until then, ODM worked as per consultant DICK's script...until then MK was dozing at s/house as nothing was happening....until then, the military were having their beers in the baracks....until then, the international presses had a field day reporting the butchering of brandy nigaz....

jeff is just bringing to light that ocampo is just concentrating on those who participated in only 5% of the violence and ignoring the 95% as if they did nothing....

BTW, this violence had nothing to do with elections...It was an ODM lie as contained in the DICK's strategy document circulated here long before the elections...

Going by the number of responses to this post, it is clear that the role of the TJRC is critical in first and foremost establishing the truth, then ensuring that justice is seen to be done. Only then can the healing process begin that will allow us to reconcile as a people.

I don't agree that the post should be removed, however wazuan's posts should be self-moderating keeping in mind that we all have our versions/opinions/experiences of what went on during PEV and what precipitated it. We as a people have many issues that have been unresolved over the years and glossing over this one as well only postpones the debate with consequences yet untold.

My personal take on PEV is that there were several "theaters of war" each with a principal(s) who bears the greatest responsibility.

My pleas to all Kenyans is to allow due process to take place and not allow the whipping of tribal sentiment by our leaders (sic) using the media and other fora to draw us into our ethnic cocoons.

I am willing to bet that the majority if not all the contributors to this post do not bear the greatest responsibility where PEV is concerned so let the ICC do its work. The current penal code adequately addresses the "work" done by minions.
