Their services are second to none. Their online service is also great. I've been with then since 1999 and I cant complain. They issue check T+3 and open cheque for up to 50K at a small fee. Search the web on the discussion on them. Or email me for more detail.

Lately, I tried to transact online, I was told it’s not possible unless I update my records and declare my source of income….. My money is lying in their account until I come town for records update.... Grrr d'oh! I requested to buy EQ when it was 19-20 now it’s > 25....Sad

That an isolated case. Just fulfil the Kyc requirement and you are good to go!!!

I Will do that, but it will force me to travel to Nairobi... n the current bull market will not wait
for me....
(I'm thinking of coming liquidate it and reinvest elsewhere...)

Much as I appreciate need for KYC, it takes the strong of heart to adhere fully at CFC Financial Services.
Sample for individuals:
--PIN certificate
--Utility bill to proove phsycial address
--Copy of bank statement/payslip to show source of income

Aiissh, I feel uncovered... smile What next, birth/marriage certificate?

Cfc stanbic are good but their online trading platform is INSECURE. if i was to gain access to any onces account it wld just take me a matter of minutes and i reck havoc on the account.
They have totally refused to use SSL encryption on their online login page and its just a matter of time before somebody takes advantage of this open security flaw .
If you want to place an order just email them or phone them

BUT DONOT USE THEIR ONLINE TRADING PLATFORM...

@qw, when did you last use CFC online? They are https. BTW the online orders now have a 7 day validity as opposed to previously when they expired at the end of the day of the order.

@qw, not even having access to ones account one can in "through" their system in 3 minutes tops, on top of that everytime one tries to login, it can take ages. A simple jscryption with a simple post/get method can solve that but their guys at IT are obviously asleep or do not care.

True; they have encypted security these days. Only problem is getting money deposited from CFC Stanbic HQ downstairs into my account at CFC Financial upstairs; it's been 1 week no progress yet. Called and was told to bring my copy of deposit slip to CFC Financial; ati their copy delays from the bank section! Nkt!
