This piece was definitely meant to set one community against the other(s) and with a very ominous conclusion...'that when the chips are down, the UN will do nothing and its every man (tribe) for himself and God for us all', with a clear reference to Kenya turning to be another Rwanda.

After wataching that youtube video, I tend to agree entirely with Jeff! I watched each day as people got evicted, raped and died in the hands of the warriors....Relatives trappped in the RV calling for rescue...but we could do nothing but watch! Every kenyan asked "where are the police? why are they not stopping this madness?". Death kept crawling on the floor of the rift valley, progressing towards nairobi. We all fretted, stored foodstuff and water, medicine, and even plotted escape route that couldnt work...Untill the so called Mungiki decided to hit hard in naivasha....and in just ONE day, ODM called off the violence...The millitary came out and patrolled our highways....and it was over...I support no violence. I cannot even hurt a fly myself! But truth be told, if these thugs didnt act, we would all be dry bones in mass graves beyond Dandora dump site!!!

wololololo.....i watched this particular episode of the 3 SIDES OF THE COIN, and could not believe that it was Jeff talking.....the guy was basically justifying the actions of the outlawed Mungiki!!!
This is the true face of tribalism....

That is why I advice people to be watching TV ya watu wazima (Not childish media) Let me classifie childish media here. Always TV, Kay24, Kass, am still trying to find out if citizen Tv is in this category, soneone help me on it. If you deny them revenue by not watching them and t hus threatening their advert scope, they will go under.

jk2010x......what are you against.......Jeff's commentary or the video? The media (KTN, NTV, Citizen, Kass etc) have all been giving us "their side" of the story, we should condemn all.

ANY reporting that sheds the MUNGIKI in good light raises questions. Jeff has erred on this 'one side of a coin' thing. This show how hard it is to finish the tribal militias in kenya.they always get backing from pple we least expected.

@all...with the new counties (majimbo) lets be extra careful not to glorify a militia group was having been the saviour of kenya or else it would have...rwanda. We dont want counties investing in militias come 2012 for their protection.

Has this single act, wiped out all the atrocities they committed amongst their own people and still continue to do?

"we" means anyone who either befell the taliban, mungiki, the warriors, the police, etc. In Rwanda, its not only the tutsis and Hutus who died! Anyone including foreigners...I remember some kyuk thugs jumping over our neighbours stone walled fence and threatening to "cut" them with hacksaw! We all started praying crying screaming etc...It took the effort of some kyuk elders to intervene just before the man of the house and his teenage boys faced the "hacksaw"...What am saying...it didnt matter who you are! Anyone could have landed in the wrong hands...and we (may be including you) would all be very-dead-dry bones in some mass graves pas dandora dump site!

just suppose that there tribal sentiments spilled over to the baracks??? Do you see what I mean? Do bombs, grinades, snippers know tribe?

All said, Despite they ending the PEV, the Munguki are killing thugs just like the sabaot land defense force, and MUST be stopped!

We cant just have so short a memory that we are forgeting exactly what happened just a few months back...! We cant blame jeff for speaking naked facts...

God help kenya!!!

its very clear here that Jeff is defending Mungiki. He should not have highlighted one side the story.

We all know the culprits and they should be dealt with regardless whether they are our tribes. Whether its Ruto, Raila, Uhuru, kalonzo, they should all be prosecuted

................eti but for the mungiki the warriors would reached Nrb in two days! this is exaggerating things.

And by the way, mungiki of late has non-kiuk members!!

Thats where you are going wrong The MUNGIKI did not stop anything they made the war worse, they were targeting the innocent. They didnt go to Eldoret, kuresoi, burnt forest ,kibera etc to stop the war they waylaid innocent travellers and residents in Naivasha n Limuru and hacked them to death.

Saving the situation from spreading was the last thing on the minds of these thugs.

IMHO Kibaki n his PNU brigade should be held resposible for the massacre creating a weak electoral commission and failure to involve the opposition in the electoral process led to PEV.
