he has been asked to step aside to pave the way for investigations by pricewaterhousecoopers and kacc. if he refuses, kofi annan should come and 'save us' and rannenberger should call a press conference to revoke his visa.

i guess not.

@Jk2010 I agree there is nothing wrong with this at all, it's the Kibaki way of governance.

There are only two ways to get top parastatal job...either your tribe or your money (to outbid the other opponent's money or tribe). Period.

Competence, degrees, experience? What currency is that?

The constitution wont change that. As the people have not changed one iota!

As they say, this is Kenya!

We want a quote kutoka gazeti la watu wazima. Standard is owned 70% by Moi and his cartoons.

"One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." Rev Canon Karanja.

Without Prejudice, i think the Minister Acted within the Law.
With the facts given, it could have been wrong to disqualify the New MD just because he's Minister's Namesake.

It must start from the top. kibaki should be ready to work with or hire other very highly qualified Kenyans whose only disadvantage was that they were not from his tribe. Look at finance, security etc...Kibaki is not ready for that..so..these ugly things will continue
