Buying jubilee is like buying a bond.... Like i bought at 178 cum bonus and sold my bonus shares at 190 giving me a return of 11% plus i still have capital gains because of buying at 178... Now believe me and quote me when i say a similar scenario will drive the stock to 280 in the 2010 results.... Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

You could give an indication of how much money you are willing to invest. If you have a couple of millions, I suggest you consider the following;
Standars Group KCB DTB CFC Stanbic MSC Then have a look at the KPLC pre and post rights

PKoli, so you have an eye on Standard Group too? The low number of shares it trade bugs me a lot, though. Even UNGA trades more shares. Is the Mumias pick longterm? GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

its amazing about this new wave of optmism that swept over KCB.... it also amazes me how Just a couple of months ago pessimism about the rights actually made this share drop to 17.65... i envy guys who had the cahunas to enter at that point becuase the results of the rights issue hadn't been announced... I suggest you put 70% in Co-op. I have watched this share since the IPO days and it does not disappoint. IN June it was @12.75 and last week it hit 18.75. That is 6.00 more. 2mili would give u 156,000 shares. X 6 you would have made about 900,000.00 in 4 months.
The reason is for this is that the CEO owns about 2% of the bank and is hell bent to ensure that the value of his shares goes up every month. He is now worth about 2b. and wants to quite next year with 5b.

@whyno how sure are you co-op will pull this one off again... i'm pretty sure the share will fall if results don't impress that much and the dividend is not what people expect... I hold the same opinion for equity bank because these are not currently fundamentally priced Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

Half year didn't realise much growth. Plus what about the expiry of the compulsory cession fees? @y i think they are expanding into the rest of africa and the middle east. This will compensate for the lost compulsory cessation Life is short. Live passionately.

I just read on Jubilee's website that the Bujagali power project in Uganda that will produce 250MW per annum commences in 2011 i expect this to shore up Jubilees earnings...
