The High Court has thrown out an application by the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) to challenge a Sh4.6 billion award to KenolKobil by an arbitrator.

Why is the share not moving up? Why? Vituvingisana, do something about it.

It won long time ago,but this share has been dormant for a while and has kept everybody guessing.

"The Judge, however, allowed an application by KPC lawyer John Ohaga to hold the execution of the award pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit."

Not quite in the bag yet, but the end game is nigh as the KK castles and knights circle the KPC king. It will be a classic Kasparov check-mate.

Should the market factor this as a plus for KK, then the share may see some resurgence from the current Sh.10. Any idea when we may see some market response? I would want to accumulate for medium term since the current market excitement has by and large ignored KK.The fundamentals still look attractive.

Last kicks of a dying horse!

Between the lawsuits by KCB, Fortis, et al (Triton related) & KK's 4.6bn suit (unless GoK saves KPC through extra-legal means OR pays off KPC debts) the writing is on the wall for KPC...

Honestly... I am totally CONFUSED...

Check the stories:

Business Daily on 7th Oct 2010: http://www.businessdaily.../-/ilpw97z/-/index.html

Business Daily on 8th Oct 2010: http://www.businessdaily...8/-/qfpbi1/-/index.html

Aren't these 2 stories contradictory???

I don't give much credence to the business reporting in Kenya but I jumped the gun here! I will wait for KK's take on this...

@VVS is the judge who through out the appeal against the award the same one who recommended the contest of the award...
