I must say I never saw this one coming. I am hating being on the sidelines (would have been a seller way before this). I am trying to activate some long forgotten shares bought through proxies. 400*70 is some nice change.

Iam also at loss wondering what is that Iam missing. I have re-read the financial reports and nothing has come to my attention that would push the valuation that high. I will spend the afternoon trying to search O&M website.

My only conclusion is that maybe another acquision/merger is in the offing or the technical analysts (of which I am not one of them) are just finding the charts sexy.

Lol, dreams are made of this - my SCAN portfolio is 180% up.

My only regret is I sold 20% of my holding at 27 a day before the Ogilvy deal was announced.

I wish I could pull up that thread! @25 I posted for ppl to buy because the deal had already happened but everyone said the counter was overpriced (vvs) and was already factored in. Anyway I hope I did not kula alone because the bounty was too much for one man.smile

I sold everything at 55/=. I had been watching the price movement very keenly and when it got to the 54-55 range with thinning demand, I knew it was time to get out! Obviously I was wrong. But no regrets, there is no way I could have anticipated the current price (76/=!!!). I would have got out at 57/=, 60/=, 62/= or 65/= [best case scenario]. Now I can only watch!

Planning to exit Access Kenya at 20/=/ I hope I will not see it at 40/= in a couple of weeks - LOL.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Me too. I got out thinking that I was selling to Jamas that would soon sell back to me at 45. For now there is no stopping Scan. At this rate even 100 is possible. Have you noted it is moving at almost the max allowed limit of 10% per day!!!

I think it is almost to start getting resistance. There could be some downward movement soon. You could sell at 75 and still make money than the pain of seeing your potential gains being eroded.
