we are talking of revenue, lets say they caried 2700 pax for one month that is to and from juba. take 2700 multiply by 203 the lowest fare and use the rate of 80 (2700*203*80=43,848,000) that is total revenue which i assume it should be more .

Don't gamble; take all your savings and buy some good stock and hold it till it goes up, then sell it. If it don't go up, don't buy it...

Whatever they do for now, the biggest test is how they handle the strike threat.

And they will also get alot of legal battles from customers who have booked, should it happen...in other words a strike is the most expensive thing in any company.,..the biggest problem with kq "wanaandika watoto wa matajiri" who are in-displined.

Actually, most airlines are protected in case of a strike... In some cases, airlines are required to provide meals & accomodation but the Contract of Carriage has language that makes Strikes an issue NOT in control of the airline...

However a branch of AAWU distanced itself from the planned strike, saying it had not been consulted.

"As a branch we find that correct procedures have not been followed and we advise that you do not engage in unprocedural activities," Noah Sitienei, airlines branch secretary for AAWU, said in a letter to Kenya Airways staff. "Think about your careers ... and make the right decisions." (Reporting by Humphrey Malalo; editing by James Macharia and David Hulmes)

Bottomline: If you strike, KQ should SACK you... No-one is irreplaceable... Short-term suffering for long-term gain...

Its wise for the management to employ new staff with new terms and dismiss the expensive staff gradually as the new ones gain experience.

Good... Fire the fools who want to hold KQ at ransom every few months... Pay should be equated to productivity whether for the crew, pilots or Naikuni...
