If the percentage was not useful to them they would not have gone there.

They went there for the long term growth of southern sudan but i'm pretty sure it doesn't contribute more than 5% of total revenues and its still currently in a loss position so a bad referendum doesn't really change anything right now

who says KCB can't be as over priced as co op, equity and HFCK i mean it does the exact same business as all of the above banks and operates in all the countries they do....

Yep! If KCB were to trade at a PE of even 18, that would be a return on investment of around 50 percent

@komera, when you make your 10%, what do you do with the cash? And what do you do once the counter you have sold rises another 10%? What if it falls by say 5% below your selling price?

@g267, what's changed between 3.39 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. today? Is Mlennyma freaking you out? Remember he had KCB on SELL at 20 shillings.

Another bank Iam watching keenly is DTB. It is well run and I expect their full year results to be at a minimum 40% plus.

The valuation at current prices is cheap, so expect a decent return towards year end. It has been trading btn 105 - 110 range but it is slowly edging up - closed at 113 today.

Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

@komera are you serious? 10% is nothing. Consider brokerage fees to get in and out of the share and you are only left with 5% gain. Trailing dividend yield is 5% and The share is still undervalued.

@mwanahisa i'm not sure but i feel its gone up way too fast...

But if it were to fall it wouldn't be by that much and it would just be a phase....

When i was saying sell i was talking to the traders...

I'm pretty sure all these guys your talking about sold their stake and drove the price down to 17.65 just after the rights issue was announced....

So i highly doubt 25 will be the resistance...

I'm thinking the guys who got the rights at 17 will start selling like crazy at 22-23 but lets wait and see...
