I have watched on Sat and Sun mornings pastors (names witheld) claiming to cure Aids on television which I thought was just fake. I have also seen 'anointed water from Israel' being hawked on television and churches but is that water really holy and from Jerusalem ama ni fake Dasani? I think spiritually hungry and gullible masses are being duped. I have now decided enough is enough,I'm not going to any one's church again and instead returned to my good old ACK.

Or could it be me who is plain wrong about these men of God?

This are the last times and we must be very careful with these 'men of god'

http://www.nation.co.ke/...8/-/ukyne3/-/index.html

Most of them are doing it for money, fame and power.

I'm also concerned that in all the hype to pursue signs and wonders, people have fallen to what is taught against in 1 Timothy 4:1.

'The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.'

There are many pastors, especially televangelists, who pupport to talk to demons,as they cast them out. These demons then reveal to them information (which is not in the Bible). They then go out and write a book about what the demons told them, and this is taken as divine authority. Just because Jesus talked to demons does not mean you do so! Infact,he used to tell them to be quiet!

Where else have people learnt about the demon in charge of the oceans, etc etc? No wonder the Bible says that in that day many will say to Him Lord Lord, have we not performed miracles in your name? They will be told 'depart from me,I never knew you,you workers of iniquity'.

Many of TV pastors live it large, driving latest Mercs and Beemers, living in mansions of Runda and Karen while their flock wallow in abject poverty under a dollar a day! You find some one who was broke and preaching at Jeevanjee driving the latest VX in just 2 years and wearing expensive bling blings! Yet if you ask to see the accounts of that church you are kicked out within minutes eti unaleta siasa!

Wow,nice job if you can get it!

Unaweza tuma sadaka ukitumia mpesa kwa nambari 072..... iliyo hapo chini ya runinga yako.....

Kuna dada ametuma pesa (the 1K notes are shown on TV) akiomba mtoto.....

Some time back I saw one of this Telly preachers saying 'Unadhania mungu ni mjinga? Unamtolea elfu moja na unaomba kazi ambayo utalipwa elfu thelathini?......'

I rest my case.

@ Ja-kom....thanks for that insight..

personally i think that all those pastors who come on tv are very fake.....yes,all of them. what the tv does is to carry the pastors commercial adverts in form of ati mass....to run a half an hour tv mass costs more than a 100k...for a whole month it costs 400k....why can't these pastors just donate this money to charitable institutions for the needy?.....reason,more adverts more cogregation more money and more wealth for the pastor...

but who is to blame the ripper or the ripee?

i have my reservations about the people who flock in large numbers to such sects

remember even Jesus compared the masses to sheep without a shepherd

God elects people to salvation by His own sovereign choice and not because of some future action they will perform or condition they will meet. Those who come to Christ become His children by His will, not by theirs. 'They were not God's children by nature or because of any human desires. God himself was the one who made them his children' (John 1:13 ).

It is therefore very wrong to teach people that God ''si mjinga'' akupe janta that will earn you 30K,kama hauchoti poa.We have been freely given, and we have to freely give.Sale of annointing oil,etc....that ''imeombewa' is not Biblical hence any person doing so is in contravention of God's instructions.

@Xtina,All for the Kingdom,U welcome!!

...Jakom

There are preachers who fulfill all the characteristics of what you have outlined. They are pretenders who want to rip others. They are satanic...

Ati unathania Mungu ni mjinga? Shame on that pastor. And I'm sure he talks about the heavy anointing on him. I pity the kenyans who fall for these people's tricks. God does not work that way. No wonder there are so many frustrated christians planting seeds and seeing nothing come out of it. The way to make wealth is to work. And God gives the capacity to work and create wealth. Those miracle oils and anointing oils are nothing more than mysticism in the name of christianity.

Lets sum it all by noting that we are the problem. We have the whole and real truth in our Bibles. It is our life manual, but how many of us read and understand it? Lets not blame these folks. They have come to fulfill the word. Go back to your Bible and get the truth which will set you free from all these false doctrins.

Bobb,

Spot on!!...The Bible is the life guide we all need. The only problem is most people rely on the pastors and the other preachers to ''chambua'' the Bible for them...while they can read and seek divine opening of insight to understand it.

Folks, the world and everything in it (even the little monies those false prophets reject) is God's.....

Psalm 24 1 The earth is the LORD's,and everything in it
the world, and all who live in it; 2 for he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the waters.
Do not be deceived by the people who give conditions for anyone to get God's attention....we did not start loving Him,He first loved us...and for that,he will do all youIf you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.'

Matthew 21:21-23''...... If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.'

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it,and it will be yours.

The GK has a moral responsibility to protect Kenyans from exploitation by some of these fake evangelists preying on the spiritually hungry. They should be made to publicly account for each and every penny the churches get. That's not too much to ask and I'm sure only the crooked pastors would object to such a noble idea! And by purporting to cure Aids on TV,the fake pastors are just encouraging some people to sleep around carelessly knowing they can be cured if they get infected. Talk about eroding all the good work being done by campaigners against STDs.
