Whether it is listed or not is irrelevant! Why should a 'private' firm be 'cheaper' than a listed/public firm?

Well... the TZ market is apparently more profitable (margins) but without seeing the numbers I will defer my comments...

Serengeti Breweries has gross assets of Ksh5.7bn. EABL paid Kh4.95bn to acquire just over half of it.
Must be one of steepest premiums known to man. Or beast.

I am just glad they are not asking me to put more money in for the proposed purchase. They are using their cash reserves. This will mean loss of interest.....but I suppose they figure that the return on investment from the purchase will be much higher over time.
