I think Mumias has touched bottom and will see Ksh14 by the time the dividend closing date comes around.
The announcment of financing for the ethanol plant is useful upside for at least the next 6 months after which I expect to see some downgrade as Mumias may have to do a rights issue

a right issue with mumias before comesa safeguard issue is solve is highly unlikely. Unless to strickly finance tarda project.

@qw... Unga was a gamble and i sold today at 8% loss....

Now i'm looking for a new gamble....

But believe me my holdings in KCB and KPLC are MORE than covering my losses in unga....

@GG We are joined at the hip on this one. I got myself some 20K units at 12.90 and was getting jittery - now I am holding my breath - I hope not for long till I break even on this lot.

Dividend yield didn't impress and this stock is largely retail held so expect some speculative selling to take this stock back to 11.50

considering its the first dividend in 5 yrs, and its yield is around 4%, i mean, that should be enough to excite even those retail investors. somethings off here....

@ deal . i shld pity you more .werent u the same guy who said you had a large share of your portfolio in unga .and now you are consoling yourself ati gains in kcb and blah ! blah ! blah ! blah ! will cover your loss. I bet that loss is big and you just dnt want to accept.it .its okay its human nature.Lick your wounds slowly so that next time you know where to invest properly.
And by the way why have losses even if they'll be covered up by other gains.thats not the purpose of investing.
@proverb. Dnt tell me you also bought Unga for the gamble.I thought you were mature enough ?Even you got your arse whipped.well, that gives me a double dose of laughter. ehehheeh!!!!!
@ guy tryin. you also got whiped by unga . hahahahha . May b u were just a guy tryin and you shld leave the stock market for pro.
And to set the record straight >

1. Mumias was given a buy recommendation.Thats says allot where the price is headed .And it'll recoup some of its losses.

2. AccessKenya is rallyin.from its lows in 17.00 to current price of 19.00 . my simple mathematics tells me that my losses will be recoupd.

3. As for Everready . let me make this clear i NEVER invested actual money in the counter.Coz i know all to well the stock market isnt a gambling place but just said we shld look out for it if it starts acting up we jumpin. And it hasnt.

All you Unga fanatics you crack me up ...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA !!!!!!!!!! KULENI USHUNGU POLE POLE ...

@qw... For a guy who's at POSITION 176 on the fantasy market, your hardly in any position to rant and rave about people's losses in unga....

I'm very sure many guys who bought unga practiced adequate risk management because even if unga crashed my portfolio was still up for september....

Dude the only losses i see are in YOUR PORTFOLIO.... Laughing out loudly

LOL... I am happy to buy more Unga coz I am happy to hold for 3 years... I expect some form of a 'sale' of the assets (land) that Unga has in Nairobi's Industrial Area... In the meantime, I will take any dividends as the cream!

@all - Mumias stands out as the odd one out in my portfolio. I need to finish the realignment on my portfolio and the question that comes to mind is - Is there any chance that we will see a rally on this counter towards book closure? If I get out now I will lock in about 10% gain but with 50K units the potential dividends look good too. Your valued advise is sought on this, People.

@shauriyako this stock MIGHT rally towards books closure but even if it did it wouldnt make it over 13.8 bob.... then there's also the possibility investors will realise that they will lose more in capital depreciation than the dividends they'll make and they bail...

for example i only hold stocks for dividend if i'm sure theý'll go up after books closure...

trust me the investors who bought kenya re and safcom before books closure to wait for dividends know exactly what i'm talking about....
