cold and the landing gear

any researcher who can help me understand this..see sometimes when its extremely cold* like today, the landing gear is the only source of warmth , other times when its extremely cold, the landing gear just vanishes..that is a serious health issue ama ni upus!

@mlefu, nothing abt research,landing gear and jabulani are the only body organs that can regulate their temp without relying on the main body. when its hot/humid jabulanis hang loosely to allow more air.when its cold the veins or whateva constrict na pia landing gear inakuwa ngumu.When u put ur hands there u don do it involuntary its a case of borrowing salt frm a neighbour

...Are u talking about the landing gear or the wheels. What I understand is that when it is cold the wheels hide somewhere inside there...and u don feel like landing...
