TAZ,
The problem is: Your arguments are not coherent, yesterday Valencia were the best team existing in la liga with the best home record in CL, today the united team that beat can be beaten by many EPL teams....c'mon!!!!

Maichblak....Don't kid yourself like all other seasons you do care how Arsenal performs. Arsenal aside, there's nothing which gives me more pleasure in the EPL than a Man Utd Loss...i can't pretend its the truth.

I really hope Fabregas recovers in time for the Chelsea then we might have a chance. At the back we are not so tight with Vermaelen out.

Then man U wins must be most hurtingLaughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

........and I see arsenal lack faith in winning against chelsea!!

McReggae....If SAF deploys Anderson and Carrick at the midfield like you did yesterday, Man Utd might be punished for that. Whenever i see these two play it reminds me of Denilson & Eboue...i never really expect any positive contribution from them. Ferdinand played a big role yesterday.

Muendoz....Its not lack of faith but accepting the reality. we need all our first team players available against Chelsea but thats not an option on Sunday..Walcott out, Van Persie Out, Vermaelen Out & Fab maybe....with Fabianski in goal i can only pray for an inspired performnce from him.

I think Man Utd fans can't handle it when their team is being criticized.

Constructive/objective criticism is what I can handle e.g. Man Utd have a very leaky defense this season and ANY team playing against them knows they can score goals.

That was before yesterday's match at Mastalla, hopefully we'll continue keeping clean sheets going forward.

Saying that SAF fielded a weak team against Valencia is simply not true - Rooney & Giggs were out coz of injury and Scoles has been having a niggling calf strain so he was spared from aggravating it!

That's what I mean! Personally I don't have anything against Arsenal FC, I just can't stand the local fans (no need to hate a team that hasn't won anything in 5 seasons), as for Chelsea, I hate the fact that they spoilt our party last year and seem likely to do so again this season

Back to the topic, I think Liverpool is the most painful team to support this season for obvious reasons. I still think they'll bounce back, maybe I just like Hodgson.

@smano & McReggae: Copy that!

Again to quote my nephew, people say ooh United do not have a chance, when United wins they say it was lucky. They then say that United should win easily, but if they don't, they say the United team was weak!

How I long for the day someone will start a thread on tactics, where we can discuss properly the tactics used by all teams. Lets talk about how 4-2-3-1 is better than 4-2-2 or 4-3-3 and vice versa. Then people can stop all this ati if you play so and so, then you will be punished! Nonsense!

Football is not cricket or tennis.Sad Ever asked yourself why they give you formations before the match starts? Its always interesting discussing football with people who have actually played the game before....its more interesting!

Now back to the Chelsea v Arsenal game. Chances are that this will be a chelsea win if stats are to be believed. See below extract from Eruo sport Yahoo.

Didier Drogba has scored 12 goals in his last 10 appearances in all competitions against Arsenal.

The Gunners have only been able to win two of their last 17 matches against Chelsea.

Arsenal have won more times away at Chelsea (6) than any other team in the Premier League era.

Nicolas Anelka has scored seven goals in his last 11 Premier League starts against Arsenal.

Arsenal’s recent record against Chelsea and Manchester United since their win at Stamford Bridge in November 2008: P9 W0 D1 L8 F5 A20.

Chelsea have fired in more shots on target than any other team (47), ahead of Arsenal with the second-highest tally of 41.

Both goals Chelsea have conceded have been from shots from outside the box.

Mike Dean has awarded five penalties in the last seven games that he has taken charge of a Chelsea match in the Premier League.

Andrey Arshavin has created 3.33 goalscoring chances per game in the Premier League this season, more than any other player in the league.

Michael Essien has averaged 95 touches per game this season, more than any other top-flight player.

End of Quote

So to sum it up a goal from Drogba, another from anelka and a penalty will settle this...am being optimistic smile smile smile
