Ever heard of brand equity????

Human beings are brands by themselves and they are xpensive....their brand value is soo high that 10 combined staff members cannot even much a single person......smile smile smile

LET PEOPLE ENJOY THEIR BRAND EQUITY!

They are actually not being paid enough?

My question is.....how much are you worth???....if you are getting less....chomoka to elsewhere!

I still think Peppy has a point.
We claim we are not just sitting on these cash, 'we are investing' as we say.

but why invest only to pay employees a paltry amount to keep them in Kibera.

all said..They didn't get there by patronage or Waganga kutoka Mwanza.. is sheer hard work.
so if a clerk want to climb the ladder in his corporate, hed better owe it his life.

Right on @Surealligator.
But the consequences are quite visible. There's no creativity within these companies, the little creativity comes from external individuals and agents not forgetting copy pasting from other parts of the world. Employees in these companies are so busy trying to keep their jobs through politics and kuchimbana tactics that they've lost focus of what they were employed to do.

@Peppy, you are spot on. Many high earning individuals pay their house help Kshs 2500 and will not chomoa a coin more. Should they ever be forced to pay more, say the poor girl chokas and wants to leave, they will add kitu kidogo but the girl will almost be brushing someone's teeth!!!

This is what happens when you let your employees become celebs. Their personal brand becomes bigger than the company brand, and they can now hold the company at ransom for astronomical salaries like these.

The research is very keen on identifying the top guys.Mostly top three or four. It is a known capitalistic principle that you are paid more to lead the troops than to do the best trooping. So guys, stop whining and as advised, BRAND yourself and work smart. We are very busy focussing on MBAs and stuff about surviving the workplace by working very hard. Most of those guys you see up there got there by those two principles and more often than not still think that they are way worth more than what they are paid. Better still be the owner of industry not the captain!

The upshot is that 99.9 per cent of employees are busy doing side hustles which affects the bottomline so in the end it all works out.
@Peppy you're spot on.

small wonder! Recently when i had gone for check up in reputable hospital,the doc asked me what i do for a living,i tell her,,,she's like well i meant your side biasharas,before she went on telling me on hw she is juggling her doc life with side biasharas...

My point; so long as these discrepancies exist,we shall continue seeing people working in the office during the day and selling body parts at night or playing soccer during daytime and being a guard at night....
