Habari ya wazuerians?

I have (at last) recently acquired a new ride that came with a 1 month insurance cover from amaco. I therefore need renew or get myself a new one. I invite experienced (technocrats)to help me out select a reliable cost effective comprehensive insurance cover. i havent done much homework about them and i have only 3 days left to its expiry. Mnajua gani?

Why not contact insurance brokers? What I've realised with brokers is that they have their preferences based on which Insurance company gives them a better deal. Also, incase you will need to make any claim, these brokers come in handy as their prefered insurance would not like to let their client down.

@mbalatya.....Ni ile Wish kutoka Jans trading..smile smile

AMACO are ok for a comprehensive cover...Talk to a lady called Edith Kamau....at AMACO hedquarters....transnational house....

They are ok with me so far....Someone hit me sometimes back and my driver's door Had to be replaced!!

There was no big issue…..only that you have to pay excess….when the repairs are over….incase of an accident…….if you are not the cause of the accident they will refund you the excess after they recover from the other ins. Company.

Alternatively; you can contact this fellow who deals with ICEA….he is the one who had insured the car that hit me….and he was prompt when he was called upon by the lady driver when she had an issue with the police…..

the issue was …..she was given a temporary policy showing her car was insured as a public service vehicle….whereas it was a private car…Toyota alphard……this was done since her valuation report was not out yet….to see which category the car belongs….i.e either a van or a wagon….

The police raised an issue of inspection sticker…….but the insurer was called and he came fast….he sorted out with the police..

Tell me who you are interested with then i will give their personal contacts!

Depends on whats on offer for the cover ...for instance, courtesy car in case of accident, rescue service, rate, promptness in settling claims...etc etc
My broker guy (who was recommended to me) tabled 2 choices, AIG (Chartis) and Jubilee and claimed they were the best insurers in the country (subjective of course, I have no evidence for or against the argument only that the package offered by one - Jubilee - was satisfactory for me)
I am sure your pals have cars, ask them to get you in touch with their agents and have a chat with them.

I am not disputing all the above statements, but one thing you should know is that Insurance brokers have their preferences. For instance my broker prefers AMACO because whenever an accident occurs, the brokers will follow up on behalf of the company and make sure you are promptly compensated. Their rates are also discounted and you can pay in three installments. For more info contact John on 0722482288 and good luck

Price wise there is really no difference. All insurance companies will charge you 7.4%. At least that is what my broker told me. And you can always opt for premium financing for as low as 3k for 4 installments.

Been with Jubilee like forever but don't really know about their handling of claims as I have been fortunate enough not to make any. For 8.5% they will throw in an Auto Assured cover as well.

That Auto Assured cover is pretty neat. Have only used it for changing of wheels and for towing home when am too drunk to drive but it can do much more.

Whatever you do stay away from any Insurance Company that covers matatus. Stay away. I stand to be corrected but I think AMACO covers matatus.
