It could be the taxi business but it could be any number of factors.
What other factors?
I have had a good talk with him - he consults me on financial/business matters
I proudly read this story on Monday and i was very happy for Mbogo. But yesterday night I had a change of heart. I will soon be paying 2000 shillings for my NHIF rate (PS: This is already higher than my AAR rates which come to 17k per year after my no claim bonus). My direct tax is already 30% of my monthly income and the indirect taxes are still hitting through VAT etc.
I then though about mbogo the hard working Taxi driver/ new paper vendor/ super businessman. Do you think mbogo income tax to KRA? How much NHIF will he be paying?
Mbogo most probably earns much more than I do but I should still support him by paying more for my NHIF.
Mbogo and other slum lord millionaires should pay their dues. KRA and NHIF should set up shop in these slums and demand for their dues. Mbogo should be the rallying cry of the already over taxed and over burdened white collared Kenyans.
MBOGO SHOULD PAY TAXES AND INCREASED NHIF RATES!!!
@ Conquistidor sarcasm is always lost in Wazua! It takes a bright mind to get it.
