The latest development could see the high premium rates proposed under the scheme revised down

My 2 cents

Its all about governance and accountability. If NHIF can show that it is properly governed and is transparent in its dealings we will happily make bigger contributions to it. Until then all all opposition must be mounted against the new rates.

Am really relieved. With the new absurd rates, my personal insurance plan, as in private medical insurance is cheaper. Gosh, how on earth can this be allowed?

Circulated as automatic reply notice from NHIF every time you sent them email with monthly payment schedule. Perhaps, trying to get compliance without mandate like in the case of CCK and mobile registration.

Fact or Fiction?
We wish to advise all our esteemed employers and contributors that the newly gazetted NHIF contribution rates take effect as from 1st September 2010 to enable provision of Outpatient Care Services as from 1st October 2010. Download Gazette.

Damn!Not good!
What next for private health insurers?
Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.
