The results might not be as good as some people expect...just today i noticed N$1=Ksh 11.4...importing into Kenya is verry expensive...since Unga imports most of its inputs...i would advice akina Guru&co to sell if you are not in for the long haul...The Ksh is too week against global currencies....

First half also not likely to be as good as last years because of the strengthening of the dollar against the Ksh. GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

My average buy price on the counter is 12.10 so i still have some room for it to fall.... And even if it went to 0bob My gains in KPLC in the past month are more than my whole holding in unga... 1) The N$ tracks the Rand which has become very strong vs the US$ (not just KES) 2) The KES has been oversold by the CBK. I am not sure why they are doing so. Protect the exporters? Since CBK can borrow cheap money in KES, they are 'selling' KES & buying forex. 3) I am not a short-term guy so it matters little to me for short-term variations... BTW, Unga is growing in Uganda & targetting S.Sudan thru Uganda... Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Vvs, i amnt suprised u pickd up unga i mean u are used to picking up junk stocks.eg never ready ,olympia u name it. I guess unga just add another junk to ur portfolio. I thought since u are the one who shouts loudest here u wld shout to the stock to sky rocket .i guessnt. By the way what other stock are u buyin i avoid it like a plaugue..? Unga will release results on Sept 30th. I still anticipate a good EPS in the range of Kshs 2.50 and I hope for a dividend of Kshs 0.50. This is just my deduction so do NOT take this to the Bank.
Since most players here apparently feel that this would not be good enough, I look forward to buying it when these results "dissapoint" - Kshs 11.00 to 12.00 would be my bet on the price based on the sentiments expressed here. Get ready to sell.
