....yes!!! our parliament!!! about 70% of mpigs cannot give a credible account of how they earned their wealth...two others have joined the ranks...

how do you explain the following myth:

a parliamentary aspirant spends kshs 150m and once in, his total salary drawn by the end of August 2012 will be about ksh 30m assuming no paying tax???? biashara gani hii?????
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

The best thing about being an MP is that you get a salute from every police officer in town. You dont need an appointment with the ministers or parastatal heads if you are an entrepreneur being an Mp is the ultimate gatepass.

The so called 150M was a bit exaggerated, on what did he spend this money on billboards, slum electrification i doubt. The rich are buying themselves into parliament its up to the voters to choose wisely but so long as we have too many poor Kenyans, the rich will always spend(bribe) their way to bunge.

@ gadj

this boy is rather too excited to enter parliament and he forgot to keep his mouth shut...if the first impressions are generally true, then what mbuvi said was the truth...that he spent kshs150m.

the way i see it is:

1. that he spent all that cash to protect a much bigger fortune unknown to you and me

2. he spent lavishly to gain access to a platform where he could then repartriate some huge amounts of money of unknown source.
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

@Kaigangio - And in case you missed it, he will not even pocket that 30m. He said that his whole salary will be used to help the poor in Makadara.

These fellows want to go to parliament to protect themselves and their illegal businesses. Not for the money. Look at our three main pharmacists - JHM, WK and MS - do you think they need the money? Do you think it's about helping people? You don't need to be an MPig to help people! Iko bigger picture!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
