I am planning a trip to Iten for fun.

Why Iten, of all places? Because I want to drive down and up the Kerio valley.

It's bee a while (almost 10 years) since I last visited the valley.

Anyone with recent update on the road condition?

I plan to use the Nakuru-Marigat-Kabarnet-Iten route and return through Eldoret-Eldama Ravine - Nakuru.

@Guka, when were you there last? And how was the road?
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

@Mukiha,
Not sure but i think it must have been 2006 July when i used the Marigat route last.I doubt much has changed but it's generally a good road all the way to Iten.......Your other alternative and which i used recently,is Nakuru, turn left at Kambi Samaki- Eldama Ravine (You can stop at Taidy's Eldama Ravine for a breather.Little nice place for kids)-Saos-Tenges-Kabarnet-Iten....Good road and those Tugen hills are simply breath taking.......Also not sure of the distance between Iten and Kabarnet (Twisting road) but from Nakuru to Kabarnet either way would be around 140Km.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
