can someone tell me anything good with Kenya or being Kenyan where people are sooo fake? everytime one hits the airport returning back here just feels completely depressed. i was going thru various kenyan news forums and everything is just tribal,negative,dull and boring. tanzanians are poorer than us but they are happier,easy going and more polite. as i look outside my office window,there's a long senseless jam and engines have been switched off as drivers wait for cops. for crying out loud,10 million people are starving,45 years after independence!!!!!! IDPs are still in camps while others are being clobbered by the police using tear gas and batons. most of us believe there will be a rwanda style genocide come 2012 elections. although elections are still far,actually 3 years away,opportunistic 'leaders' have started campaigning he he he. our justice system is a joke and takes 10 plus years and it's only for the rich. our police have continuously been voted the most corrupt in east and central africa for the last 5 years. what's wrong with us? eti najivunia kuwa mkenya? our politicians can't think beyond their noses,we actually have suspected killers of 2007 elections sitting in cabinet. now that's a first one in the world! i'm scartching my head hard but can't think of anything good with this country! or am i being obtuse???

i can see i touched some few raw nerves but the truth always hurts. someone asked if you can hate your mother,of course you can hate her if she's full of evil and doesn't want to change. kenya should not be this way,we can do better. we were at par with asian tigers during independence. today,south korea,malaysia,thailand etc are light years ahead of us rocketing to the stratosphere economically,technologically and democratically. here in kenya,the mungikis are just busy skinning innocent people alive because they have refused to part with their hard earned cash. someone asked what am doing to make this country better. one i'm not living a lie like you. am acknowledging the many self inflicted misery we are wallowing in. i want a better kenya which my children will live peacefully in prosperity. am sorry we have taken the wrong turn and am just shouting so! don't shoot the messenger boy!

This is a defeatest attitude. So what do you suggest we do? Hang ourselves? Instead of wallowing in the world of self pity you should be giving sugggestions on what we can do to improve the situation. Behaving like a cry baby wont help.
