For the last 10 days or so, i have been fortunate to be in Cambodia with one of the Charities our organization is heavily involved
The Girl Effect, also tagging along was
Dr Nicholas Kristof (He was the one who brought the Darfur plight on our screens)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_D._Kristof Demi Moore and her charity
GEMS (Girls Educational and Mentoring Services) and Angelina Jolie as a goodwill ambassador to the UN as well as a host of others maybe not so famous.
However it was a heartbreaking experience to see girls as young as 10, been sold to brothels where they are "contracted" for 1 week to have sex with westerners. We were able to buy 2 girls for a total of $ 500 and successfully returned them to their villages but the stigma am afraid will just drive this girls back and most evidently the girls were indeed addicted to Heroine or Meth.
There is too much to share about the plight of the Cambodian children (and indeed the world), however as we all promised we will share the plight of the girl child round the world, and am doing my bit.For all the women in Wazua & your friends please get a copy of
Half the Sky ( it comes from a chinese saying women hold half the sky) and you will begin to see the magnitude of what am talking bout, from The Congo to Laos, from the favelas of Brazil to Soweto. Lastly i share this video to get the message across..

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.
