Look at this scenario a pal of mine, has left me some money {2m} to pay his lawyer upon perfection of some docs. This might take 1-2months which means I will be holding this money for that duration. I am tempted to through it in the stock exchange for that duration, which is against my investment policy - Invest Long term.
Any ideas from wazuans.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Use the money for the purpose intended by your friend. What kind of friend are you anyway?

If still in doubt, ask your friend what you should do with his money in this two months.

I dont believe there is a fixed deposit account for 2 months.

They start from 3 months onwards......

Please good people do not encourage this Sabina person to misuse friends money.

Surely surely!....
Weka hiyo pesa in a fixed depo account and forget about using it.When time comes to use it pay the lawyer then ask your friend what you should do with the interest it will have earned. He might share some of it with you for being a good boy.

Invest the money with me; I'll give you 20% per week for 8 weeks and then return the 2m on the 9th week.

Be very careful. One mistake and your friendship is gone. Whatever you choose to do make sure your friend knows about it. Make no move without his authority. Be a trustworthy friend.

@Sabina

Ati unawachiwa 2million by a friend? Why are you measuring my brains?

The last time I left 1 million to someone to hold for a month was my wife. She took 10% of it to her pastor as tithe and the rest were prayed for to make them fruitful. I won't reveal what I did with the pastor and the wife cauze police might add one plus one here and come for me.

I've known only 3 Sabina's in my life. Which one are you?

By the way, you are another one. In any open blog, there is bound to be conmen, criminals etc. Don't go telling everyone here that you have access to such an amount. The last time I remember, a woman at westlands was hypnotised and made to withdraw a million shillings from KCB Kencom.

What you should have done is say you have 200,000. Whatever suggestion you get, multiply it by ten.

What is this world coming to. With friends like you that guy can do without enemies.

Do not touch the money. Do not think of touching the money. Go and confirm maybe the lawyer is through with "perfection" and pay him the money.

@chaka, I'm with the ICEA one, the 6.5 is PER ANUM(lest I'm misquoted) but compounds for as long as am in the fund which doesnt bother me much cuz my bank(BBK) hawesmek hio.

yes its after the admin charges but the withholding tax iko hapo ndani which goes upto 1.5%, month of august they chopped off .75% cuz according to them, almost half of the securities are tax freesmile

@Sabina seriously you are not thinking about it. if you are waiting for documents to be perfected it means there is some contract awaiting completion where time is of the essence. You don't want to screw up a contract your friend will pay much more than any interest you will get in a month or two or.....
you can go to Mwaniki & sons & cybercafe, they have all the ideas for gambling wako nyuma ya OTC river road-uchunge kanju!!!
