Reggae is not just music. It is a spiritual vibe. There are times I listen to other forms of music, and I am certainly in another place when I am listening to Reggae. If you want to know what I am talking about, think of the works of Joseph Hill (Culture), Marley, Lucky Dube, Peter Tosh, Buny Wailer, Burning Spear, Steal Pulse, Ijahman Levi, Alpha Blondy, Don Carlos, among others.
The other day I met someone I knew in school back in the 1990s, and he was surprised to hear Burninig Spear coming through my speakers ... he asks, man, you still listen to this stuff? I was stunned. I cannot imagine ever stoping listening "to this stuff". What would I listen to then? We got a ride on a minibus, destination Kingston, the kings town, ............Red light green light yellow light, turning upside down. What was this guys name? Donaldson or who? Nobody can stop reggae, reggae will never die, cauze reggae is strong. Go overdrive in purchasing the goods when there's blood on the streets, expecially if the blood is your own
