A 35 year old business-lady living in Bahati, Nairobi lost a koool KES. 100,000 in cash to an anonymous lover.
She "met" the alleged soul-mate on lonely hearts section of one of the Dailies.

@Ladies,
Is it this desperate getting a man nowadays?
Or is it that men are now playing hard to get, the hunter becomes the hunted?

But how do you even send a bamba 20 to a person you have never met in your life, just because he sounds desperate?

I saw the story on Citizen and there is nowhere the lady mentioned 100,000/=. She talked about 20,000/= [which she said she had difficulty raising] and 2,000/= which she sent later. I really don't understand our so called journalists and media houses. Either they are incompetent or they just lie to us to 'live'. I don't know which is worse!!! If the lady really lost a 100,000/= they should have shown us the clip where she stated that fact. In the same news broadcast, they state authoritatively that Raila said that Provincial Administration will not be abolished. Clip? Raila saying there are no problems with the implementation of the new constitution - very general statement. Liars or a bunch of incompetent characters?

Having said that this lady was very stupid to send money to a person she has never met! Even if it is desperation, when mixed with ujinga it goes to a totally new level.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

it was the last thing that the chick said in the clip, but to me it's like she was lying coz it just didn't add up.At least there was one mpesa message for 20k.

Think I also watched the news and at the end the lady said in total she had sent all the money she had {100k} to the guy to bail him out of a number of mysterious circumstances{hospital bills, being arrest etc}. i think the 20k was just one of the "Many" transaction she allegedly did.

@wasee and @reox - Did you watch the 7:00pm or 9:00pm news. I watched the 7:00pm news and I never heard the lady mention 100k. Ama ni mimi nilikuwa nimelala kwa darasa?
