According to the dustbin research results(see other posts), Only 20/- Zain cards were to be found in dustbins, they were being used to send SMS only, so now that SMS are cheaper elsewhere and Zain stock of 50/- cards is piled in the store, this offer. Nice try though, but i am wondering is Zain approach "we will make money when there is a wildebeest like migration to Zain", they may as well offer, top up with a 100/- and call free.

Short dated bonus offers to the same network by the smaller mobile phone companies i.e. Zain, Yu or Orange simply do not work for me. I just do NOT have enough numbers to call on their networks within the 7 day period. Nowadays I just IGNORE them!

until last month, when Safcom and Zain were still expensive I relied hevaily on Yu to make calls. During top-ups I had kshs 750/= bonus on Yu applicable only on Yu to Yu cals and SMSes which I never got to use because I had no Yu number to call. They expired on 31/08/2010 and dissapeared just like that. Hata hii ya zain ni ngumu kiasi.

This is a pointless offer frankly....I don't see what they're aiming for. If you have one tariff to all networks, then also make this offer av to all networks, and watch another full blown panic in Green HQ, Waiyaki Way.

BTW, these panics are really fun to watch!
