The commission rates are too high! They need to find alternate channels or charge clients who want paper statements! I get e-mails which are almost 'free' vs those who get paper statements...

I thought CDSC and CMA are two separate entities... I think CDSC does a decent job except for their website where the statements are never upto date.. Maybe CDSC should be getting the 0.12% and CMA the 0.06%.

LOL... I was answering 3 different questions/comments!

CMA: They do jackshit... and gets paid way too much!
NSE: The commission rates are too high!
CDSC: They need to find alternate channels or charge clients who want paper statements! I get e-mails which are almost 'free' vs those who get paper statements...

2.1%; we pay too much already. In some markets they pay a fixed fee, say $10 per trade. I would be very happy with such an arrangement.

Now this solution I like... after all does it require more effort to click on a button to fulfill a 15 million share purchase deal than it does to fulfill a 200 shillings deal?

I personally don't mind an increase to say 0.08% because the NSE is one of the only markets i trade in where i don't pay capital gains tax.... Laughing out loudly
I thot Uganda did not have capital gains tax either

@vvs why trade on the USE when more than half of its companies are also on the NSE...

Is it possible it's strategic placing of cdsc before fully automating nse?..
I doubt that there will be a downward revision of commissions even when the trading platform is fully automated and floated out to public hence cutting need to rely on broker to lodge your transactions.
Possibly CDSC is angling for monies falling thro cutting off of brokers from stock trading chain
