Funny... Kenyans are OK when Safaricom made 50% (or higher) GP but cry foul when KPLC makes 5%...

@VVS are you talking about Gross Profit??

If you are you would be lying because this rally is clearly being sparked by a double digit profit growth

I believe the GP for KPLC is higher than 5% [I was using an illustration] but as for GP & rate of growth in profits... these are different...

KPLC's RATE OF GROWTH in profits has been good but the GP is still very low compared to Safaricom.

The NPM (Net Profit Margin) is even lower! As of the ROA...

@sheep.
in the same case the guys who bought at 120 late last year are wondering who is buying at this exorbitant price (240) double the price.
in the case of any market, for any buyer there is a seller meaning the buyer always sees the price as a bargain because s/he didn't do so when the seller way aqcuring the gem.

I don't know How you guys are valuing KPLC but after the conversion and before the rights issue there is no way KPLC can fall below 300

I think @sheep must be suffering from "missed the boat" syndrome.. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

How will the strike threat by KPLC workers affect this stock or has these news been factored in the price already?

2012, i think the impending lalina is also a factor, gova last week anounced that they may be forced to switch on the back up generators. you know what that translates to, increase in pricing leading to super abnormal prices.

almost sold my shares in the fantasy market but the 6th voice told me to hold on and am glad i did. Though it does not reflect my real holdings in the real maket, i swear once it reaches 280 i will sell off some of my holding in the real market.
