Who commited this grissly cold bloodied murder? Who was that guy who insisted on shooting the young man in the head despite the desperate pleas fm the 7month pregnant wife-to-be? I have the courage to say "mungu amusamehe". RIP Mwaura Jnr.

Quite sad indeed.

The tricky part is that this people were not interested in money , they just wanted to kill the dude.

Police always claim to be following crucial leads, even when there is none.



What happened to uhuru park grenade leads?

Whilst investigating a homicide has never been easy, Mwaura's cold blooded murder has eye witnesses. This is very significant and can give investigators crucial leads.The fiancee may also give leads as to the motive/s.

Recovering the spent cartridge/s can give police an idea about the firearm used and the gun may even be traced at the police data base. Has it been used elsewhere? Is it licenced?

There was a struggle. Did the thugs inadvertently leave any finger prints on the car? What about foot prints? Did any one see the get away car?

Kenya Police may have deliberately failed the country on many occassions, but they can nail Mwaura's murderers within days if they want to. They have the capacity.

While condoling with the family of the victim, I could not help but notice how the story as reported by the Nation reporter and that of Mwaura's fiancée (see the Sunday paper "In her own words") are at variance.

While acknowledging that the reporter compiled the story from various sources, the reported story creates an impression that what transpired was a hit, yet that of the fiancée implies it was a robbery gone wrong.

I suppose this is how cops are able to tell if two people are lying; if their accounts of what transpired are identical.
