@Ric Dees, Eric Nesbitt? Methot it was Nick Nesbitt, a black American well-connected in he corridors of power.
And I have no mercies for telkom, wacha waaumie for being complacent during their monopoly days.
Someone tell KPLC one day they will pay for all those days their inefficiency made us endure Mpango Wa Candle.

@Inteligensia
Yes it is Nick!! (Not Erick) and true connected to the corridors of power, however he is not black American, but a Karen boy (White Kenyan), though having schooled in the US.As much as i give credit to Bitange he however is the real brains behind the huge strides we have taken in ICT. I have seen guys give Kudos to James Mwangi & MJ (understandably) so but Nick is on a different time scale!! Let me try and dig up a link on a breakfast meeting i attended where he was the speaker here in London, truly out of this world.

This Orange 3G+ thing has lately started to misbehave even in places where it worked perfectly before. Something is definitely wrong. There are days when there is no connection or you can grow a beard waiting for a page to load and other days buying bandwidth is a nightmare. Looks like there won't be any Champagne tossing for the French at Orange.
It's amazing what you can achieve when you get rid of fear.

@Ric thanks for the clarification I always thot he was a foreigner. Would be interested in knowing more about Nick's contributions & why you consider him ahead of our times.
I agree Bitange has been invaluable.

I see some people are like
because of this 3G issue...
3G can be either on GSM (like SCOM) or CDMA (Telkom - Actually its only 3G is its CDMA - EVDO).
Older CDMA is 2.5G (and the equivalent for GSM 2.5G is EDGE....2G is GPRS) all those refer to data speeds.

Hey, I also use Orange 3G+ (I wonder how they were allowed to use the name without a 3G licence). It has been reasonably fast in the past and quite cheap. Over the last week or so, it's just not been connecting. My SCOM modem used to be the backup but it became my default after I bought cheap airtime on promulgation day.
