@all Laughing out loudly I was too overwhelmed to elaborate yesterday.

Did you see how John Travolta acts crazzyyy, true performance right there; not to mention Denzel's choice of strong role model characters.

I've often wondered what makes a good movie - is it the director, the plot (screenwrighter), cinematography, score (music), actors...

In this movie, the acting stood out! But when I note that the director Tony Scott (Ridley Scott's younger brother) directed The Last Boy Scout, Crimson Tide, Enemy of the state, Dejavu... I'm convinced the Director needs to be given credit.

Surprising the movie was judged quite harshly in the US.

Great acting bt the storyline never impressed. That nigga sellout led to the death of many, yet he was depicted as the hero. No wonder it flopped. Though it may have had a similar theme to the great Con-air (the good v/s the bad), it never came as close in entertainment value, since the exaggerated role of the black guy spoilt everything.

@ smano, the expendables, they really tried to bring back Stallone and Schwarzenegger (especially him), but that church scene was weak....but all in all, the movie was good.
