Kenya's CMA is a useless organization...

In other countries, the firm (e.g. Safaricom) is allowed to buy back shares so what they do is buy out the odd lots + other lots they deem to be uneconomical...

I have loads of small/odd lots I do not care for... The cost of selling odd lots thru my stockbroker is crazy!

I would rather offer these back to the firms at a 'fair' price & get them out of my portfolio!

Another option in some countries are 'donations'... You can donate shares (including odd lots) for free to a charity...

CMA is useless. They don't want to change with the times. No new developments whatsoever. Under 18's can't even invest in the market on their own

Voting will be done by sending an SMS, which costs a thousand bob. This way, the company will ensure that 'ordinary wananchi' are not able to show any resistance to issues
