Multichoice gotta be serious. They expect me to top up my subscription by about Ksh2,000 for only two channels SS7 and SS10!!!Shame on you

This is ridiculous to say the least. They could have at least thrown in a one ka Movie channel, History channel or better yet added more super sport channels.

Whats does super sport 7 have b.t.w ..

Haki yetu!!!!

Was thinking of lowering my subscription by 2500/= until i noticed that there is no mention of SS3 and UCL matches. So my take is that even this SS7 channel will not be 100% similar to the SS7 channel of Premium Bouquet subscribers. It will be something close to SS5 where guys in SA enjoy watching different soccer matches as we watch some boring cricket matches here. SS4 in Kenya is perpetually blocked in favour of our South African brothers.

Notice also the 90% EPL matches catch. This will be akin to the days of GTV when i would spend a whole week expecting to watch my dear MAN U only for the match to be screened by rival pay TV.

Trust me all the juicy EPL matches and La Liga matches will be on SS3 and NOT SS7.So dont expect to watch Mourinho's Real play Barca on SS7.

Why can't these con-artists simply lower the charges for Premium Bouquet instead of doing a sufferincon on us? How I wish there was a ZAIN pay TV!!!

Same take @Mwenza...I can't wait for the day another pay tv buys the EPl rights, Multichoice will be kneeling in front of us asking us to come back - in all honesty though, the EPL matches shown in SS3 are the same ones shown in SS10 at the same time - I have been noting so far, wondering if I should succumb.

Like @Mondisto said, I wish they could have thrown in one Movie Magic and one of those 251-255 channels

Better yet have a channel based subscription as opposed to bundles.
To me economies of scale will mean that at a 'small' fee they have many subscribers which makes biz sense as opposed to very few on the high end.

We need a Bharti aritel kind of a guy to shake up these guys to their sense. Remember, before GTV came into the market, DST way above reach of common man. Its GTV that forced these people to remodel their biz structure .. otherwise.

What does SS7/SS10 have anyway??? Will i get to catch up F-One? WRC? Tri nations?? nada!!!

@Intelligentsia, check again! I was a bit relieved to see them kumbe it was an error on their part to air them - they're not there any more!

I have checked all channels and it is indeed true that we've only been added 2, I repeat 2 channels for an extra 20USD!I think most guys will complain after subscribing like I did, and probably go back to watching EPL in bars if they can't hack premium.

So far, you'll get ALL EPL games in the the 2 channels, on Sato I was watching the Spurs Wigan game on SS7 and the Chelsea Stoke one on SS10. But alas, come Sunday and all my hopes were dashes, as SS3 showed 3 La Liga games in quick succession, SS7 was showing FIBA and SS10 was showing either a re-run of German Bundesliga or Trans World sport.

The point is, SS7 and SS10 are strictly for the EPL fan. They'll show Bundesliga and French league games and some other sports but that's about it - I would have hoped at the very least they'd show La Liga re-runs since those games come pretty late on Sundays anyway.

If anyone from Multichoice is reading this, tell your bosses your days are numbered, just be a bit civil about it and increase a two or three relevant channels in each bouquet and we'll also be considerate before jumping ship when a real competitor checks in (the gods must have heard you when GTV tanked but you won't be so lucky next time!!)

@Jitahidi,like someone mentioned earlier, F1 is only shown on SS1 (and SS6)...Compact Plus is a raw deal if you think about it, 2 more channels for an extra 20USD. But I'm sure they'll add one or two more channels - at least am hopeful

@smano...........Please clarify. Were Man-U and Aseno matches on sato also available on this compact THING?. I ask this because both matches were on SS3 on Premium Bouquet.

@Mwenza, I confirm that all the big EPL matches were available on Compact Plus.

The Arsenal game was the first on SS10 followed by the Chelsea game which was aired at the same time as the Spurs Wigan game on SS7. Afterwards, SS10 aired the Man Utd match. Replays of the other matches are shown on subsequent days.

You will, however, not watch any La Liga or Champions game - at least not live. I noticed ESPN brought the Real Mallorca game live though. La Liga highlights for the first weekend were however shown on Thursday on SS10 (too late in the week if you ask me)

I just hope K24 ( now available on channel 413 ) will be airing the CL games

Just a quick update guys...SS7 brought the Inter FC Twente game, highlights of the other games at the half and at fulltime and a replay of the Man Utd Rangers game afterwards.

I'm a Man Utd fan but when I heard SAF was fielding a carling cup squad, I decided not to put myself through the misery of going to a bar...it was interesting to watch Mariga play a full CL match, almost scoring the 3rd..

It was not just a carling cup squad but A SQUAD ONE WOULD FIELD IN THE EARLY STAGES OF THE CARLING CUP(before it gets to the semis)

And on Sunday i noticed that F1's Monza race was live on S1 & S7. That means guys on compact plus were able to watch F1. Does it mean F1 is now included?
