in a situation like this i am thinkin of WWBD : What Would Buffet Do . lol

well, buffet cares little, if any of T.A and for all his years of investing NSE has never been an option.. so what would he do? NOTHING!

Dude..the future of a share price can only be certain within certain parameters (e.g..tech analysis) if ALL OTHER FACTORS REMAIN THE SAME!! Human behavior is NEVER constant..

@proverB - WWBD... It is not a question of whether he currently invests (or wud) in Kenya... Would be invest in a firm like MSC is the question...

@qw - I've checked the 3mth, 6mth and year chart pattern and the near term decent support is 12 - 12.50. But looking at the lower bollinger band bending downwards, more selling pressure is coming. The RSI is also bearish as well as slow stochastics despite the oversold levels. I expect a relief bounce at or below 13 (12.90 - 12.70), but this one should head to 12 - 12.50. If that level doesn't hold, there is a lot of nothing (space) all the way to 10 - 10.55 which will reverse the bullish year setup. Also if you draw a rising trend line from 9/4/2010 close all the way to 28/7/2010 close, the point to look for is 13.60 which is where the price closed today. If we close below this tomorrow, expect selling to continue. Best view of this analysis is the yearly chart. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=MSUG:KN

Men , hisah . u are so on point . clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! clap ! Thank you. . so the bottomline is that 12.50 has to hold and as a matter of fact it will hold....bytheway i am just waiting for a relief rally i sell half atleast, coz there'll be allot of waiting before a full blow rally ensues.
and still people will be putting orders for 10.00 ??????? and they will still read this post and yours . i tell you t.a is the way to go.it just takes you ahead of the curve.

please note what Hisah comments elsewhere concerning a pending order of 500k shares to buy quoted at 10...

I have quoted on the Mumias results post, that if 12 - 12.50 level is broken, this 500K @10 bid will be easily filled. How long, it is anybody's guess, but breaking 12/- should see selling acceleration towards 10/-

Ahem....It looks like the selling pressure is still there. I am placing my bid in the pre-open at 10% (Kshs 11.05) below yesterday's price. From the sentiments expressed herein (other than from QW), it looks like I may get lucky. Let's see ....

Njunge, indeed do tell ... Now that I have not got my order completed at 10% down, I have withdrawn it. If indeed the kinda info you have is so devastating then I guess we will be buying at well below Kshs 10. But then I believe in buying gradually!

@QW. MSC just breached Kshs 12. Some deals already concluded at 11.90. In this mkt it does NOT pay to make ABSOLUTE predictions, in the face of ever-changing circumstances.

As you watch mumias, the global markets are tanking, after 2008 the effect of foreign investors selling off can not be ignored.I am watching closely.

I think this is a good counter going forward, coz it has one of the best free cash yields at the current price and should it sink more the yields get better. Based on the historical earnings and cashflows, this counter has an I.V of about 17/-. there's minimum downside potential, i think at 10/- it would enter steal territory.
