got 2k shares in this counter which I bought in 05 @ 39 bob. The dividend has been too kidogo but coz of the small size of my stock, i opted 2 just keep them anyway. Wazuans; do u think this stock will hit 44 in the nxt few weeks so that when i exit, i get 1bob capital for each year av kept them?

@flagship If you believed in the share, u should have averaged down when it was at 15 bob. You would have gotten into profits long ago. Hapana kaa tu fyuaaaa

Preach on sparkly. I've noticed that a lot of guys normally complain that their shares have depreciated in price and proceed to bail out instead of buying at lower prices to average down. A case in point is KQ where some guys bought at eighty the sold at 28.
Flagship, 44 may be attainable. Crown Berger is set to benefit from the Stimulus Package since construction industry is likely to benefit.

@flagship if you bought 2k more at 15 then you would have broken even at 27. you would be in good profits. Practice this strategy if price of the stock goes down because of unjustified market sentiments, otherwise you sell. Also google the related concepts of 'dollar cost averaging' and 'dollar value averaging' @youcant... I also don't understand how some1 can see a promising stock at a loss

@sparkly all one has to do is to remember the reason the bought the stock in the first place. if nothing has changed in those fundamentals that took you there then average down...
but we all know how hard it is to look for cash to do this...

I talked to a "Marangi" [painter] recently regarding paint choices. he says that "nobody is buying crown anymore".

Peter Marangi's "Dura Coat" is giving crown quite a headache.... and before that, it was "Sadoline"

It appears that Crown are facing the kind of onslaught that "Kimbo" faced from "Kasuku". In that case, the issue was packaging using plastic containers.

"Marangi" has come up with automated paint-mixing at the retail outlet and it works like magic... paint ready in 5min in any colour or shade, and digitally reproducible.

No wonder we are not seeing much in light of the construction boom.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

@mukiha

Ive talked to several painters and they always tell me crown is the best.Duracoat is a bit lighter so you end up using more...but marangi has done brilliant advertising.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.
