Anyone have concrete info on who/how its going about this? I'm assuming it'll be looking to sell its customer book and also stuff like the metro-cabling its been doing. Plus goodwill. Is that worth Ksh3.7bn?

@Wa_ithaka, 3.7b let's get serious - that is their current market capitalization at a P/E of what 60? If they sell at that price, the Sellers make the money.

Now for company reducing EPS, a fair P/E should be maybe 8. That gives a value of 500m/750m at most. Then good value, and many suitors amidst the mobile wars.

Could this be the reason why AK hasn't yet reduced in price to 10 despite not too rousy results?
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

@mlennyma a tad unfair perhaps. Not too far fetched; even back page of today's East African...

muganda, if a takeover was to take place for ''750 million at most'', that would be a disaster for shareholders

Interesting that Michael Joseph needs to rule out the acquisition of ISP AccessKenya....

Hmmmn looking into a wonder glass, knowing that Safaricom acquires everyone left, right, centre... Has he ever been interested, is he in the progress of, or has it gone the whole hog and fallen through???

Bad results though...

KShs 730mn is too low for AK but KShs 3.7bn (+debt) is too high...
