Most counters are responding to the index rise but cable has not picked up, is there a future in this counter? what is the likely rally point for cable and when?

E.A Cables is being eaten alive by cheap imports. But its not the only laggard at the NSE. Others which have never rallied include Kenya RE and Access Kenya. KCB is just picking up.

The Tanzanian branch is what has contributed to the dismal performance of the stock. I have noticed thin volumes on most of the days. I have a feeling until the full results are announced, not many people are willing to take a position in this security

Not in near future. FY 2009 turnover declined 28% to 2.8 billion from 3.9 billion reported in 2008.E A Cables issued FY 2010 profit warning. Firm posted a 51% drop in Q1 pretax profit. Tanzania unit hurt by bad debt.

The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

They had embarked on an ambitious regional expansion. There was no knowing everything was going to go wrong

Every company has its bad day. Question is if cables will wriggle itself out of the rut it is in presently. Management see confident from their regular dividend policy. If you don't want to lose your money, get out and come back when their profits stabilise and price bottoms out.

Didnt they lose out on lucrative KPLC tenders of years gone by hence the free-fall of the shares?
